• Take all possible steps to meet skilling targets as envisaged in the 12th Five Year Plan and beyond.
  • Ensure that the skilling needs of the disadvantaged and the marginalized groups like SCs, BCs, minorities, women and differently abled persons are taken care of.
  • To coordinate between Central and State Government, various departments of the State, training providers and industry.
  • To provide Skill Training in the gap areas provided funds are made available to it by the Government.
  • To maintain common data base of all candidates, employers, placements, shared with all Stake Holders.
  • To advise all concerned departments to formulate and plan on means to increase skill training capacity.
